Shareholder Alice K. Sum will be presenting at the 8th Annual Circuit Court and Litigation Boot Camp: The Nuts and Bolts on June 6, 2019 at the Courtyard Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port Hotel in Dania Beach, Florida.
This program delves into general litigation skills and strategies as well as providing an inside look at, and advice about, litigating in Florida Circuit Court. The program covers everything from complaint strategies to depos and discovery, to case management conferences, motion writing, trial prep, and trial techniques. The faculty will also discuss how to preserve trial records for an appeal, post trial motions and judgments. The Florida Bar has approved this seminar for 9.0 CLE general credits, as well as 9.0 Civil Trial certification credits.

Sum, a Shareholder in the firm's Commercial Litigation practice group, represents clients in a wide range of complex business disputes, including multi-party litigation concerning director and officer liability, intellectual property, banking and financial services, and real estate issues.
She currently serves on 17th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission, The Florida Bar’s 17th Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee "I", and the Judicial Nominating Procedures Committee. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the Dade County Bar Association, State and Federal Court Judicial Liaison Co-Chair for the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, and past-president of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of South Florida. Sum received her J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and her B.A., with honors, from the University of Florida
