With over 20 years of experience and fluency in three foreign languages, Kirsten Baier focuses her law practice on corporate and real estate work, with a strong focus on cross-border transactions. Her international business background and education enable her to skillfully handle the legal issues of her domestic and international clientele.

Kirsten holds dual degrees in the civil and common law legal systems. She received undergraduate and Juris Doctor degrees in Germany, and a Juris Doctor degree and a Masters in Law degree in International Law in the U.S. After her studies, Kirsten worked as a judicial clerk for German judges, as an assistant prosecutor in Hamburg and as an attorney with a prestigious Hamburg law firm. She later joined the management of a European family business involved in the manufacturing and export industry before relocating to Miami.

Practice Focus

Kirsten counsels clients on corporate, real estate and business law matters, including corporate structuring, distribution and agency agreements, and other related legal needs. A significant portion of Kirsten's practice is dedicated to the representation of foreign interests in real estate acquisitions, sales, management, and other business ventures. She represents both U.S. and non-U.S. entities in inbound and outbound transactions. Kirsten also helps foreign manufacturers and exporters establish and operate businesses in the U.S., and assists U.S. exporters in their activities with foreign markets.

As general counsel to real estate developers, Kirsten negotiates commercial real estate sales and acquisitions, and commercial leases with national tenants. She is a member attorney of the Attorneys' Title Insurance Fund and Old Republic National Title Insurance Company.
