Carlos Macias is an Associate in the firm's Products Liability & Toxic Tort Practice Group in the Miami Office. Carlos is a skilled trial attorney and advocate, who currently focuses the majority of his practice on litigating catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, transportation and trucking accidents, mass tort, and premises liability claims. Carlos has garnered a reputation of zealously advocating for his clients, both in and out of the courtroom, while always keeping the client’s needs in mind and anticipating the big picture. Carlos counsels his clients on the critical decisions they face, including whether to file a claim, defend a claim, or resolve a claim, by focusing on the client’s specific needs on a case-by-case basis. He has experience representing clients from post-accident investigation and pre-suit representation through litigation and trial.
Carlos has a background in commercial litigation, personal injury, intellectual property, and worked as an Assistant State Attorney at the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office. At the Miami Dade State Attorney’s Office, Carlos prosecuted hundreds of cases ranging from misdemeanors to homicides, was a member of the Traffic Homicide Unit, and tried numerous cases to verdict, both jury and non-jury.
Carlos received his Juris Doctor and a Certificate in International Law from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. While in law school, he served as the Hispanic Law Student Association President, Treasurer, and Representative. He was also a member of the Executive Cabinet and Director of Wellness for the Student Bar Association, and was a Certified Student Practitioner for their Criminal Defense Clinic. Carlos also received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Loyola University New Orleans, where he double majored in Marketing and Management.
