Jill Mendelsohn is an associate in the firm's Insurance Practice Group. Jill focuses her practice on insurance coverage disputes, construction defect claims, commercial general liability, and commercial litigation. Prior to joining Fowler White, she worked at a mid-sized insurance defense firm where she managed and executed all aspects of commercial litigation insurance defense cases.
Jill received combined Bachelor of Science Degrees in Applied Economics & Management and Communications from Cornell University. Thereafter, she earned her Juris Doctorate at the University of Florida Levin College of Law and her Masters of Business Administration at the University of Florida Hough Graduate School of Business.
During law school, she was a teaching assistant for trial practice for three semesters and a research assistant for a distinguished professor, in which she conducted extensive research, writing, and editing for law review publications relating to United States Trust Law, Law and Economics, and United States Trust Policy. In addition, she was an active participant in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA), in which she assisted low-income working families in filing their taxes, and applying for Earned Income Tax Credit. Lastly, she was a legal extern at the University of Florida Student Legal Services.
Jill was born and raised in South Florida. She is active in the community, holding membership in numerous organizations, including the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar.
