Ira J. Gonzalez Joins Fowler White’s Products Liability And Toxic Torts Group

Fowler White Burnett is pleased to announce that Ira J. Gonzalez has joined the firm’s Miami office as an Associate in the Products Liability & Toxic Torts Group.  Gonzalez was previously with Adams and Reese LLP where he was part of the Litigation Practice team.  His practice focuses primarily in civil and commercial litigation in the areas of Product Liability, Land Use/Construction, and Medical Malpractice.  His experience includes participating in all aspects of litigation on both insurer-driven and insured-directed legal matters defending companies in a wide variety of tort claims including tobacco products, motor vehicles and sporting goods, particularly by preparing legal pleadings, developing discovery strategies, conducting fact and expert witness interviews and depositions, arguing dispositive motions, and preparing for trial.  

Prior to practicing law, Gonzalez served in several roles in Miami government, including as chief of operations for code enforcement, and as a law clerk for the Office of the City Attorney.  He is a member of The Florida Bar and The Louisiana Bar.

Gonzalez graduated cum laude from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2010, where he also received an Environmental Law Certificate.  He earned an M.B.A. from Barry University in 2005 and a B.S. in Business Management, also from Barry University, in 2001.
