Fowler White Burnett Expands West Palm Beach Office


Fowler White Burnett today announced that second generation Palm Beach County native Rodney Janis and third generation Palm Beach County native Michael Logan have joined the firm as shareholders, and Michael Switzer has joined as an associate.

The three attorneys were most recently with Adams, Coogler, Watson, Merkel, Barry & Kellner in West Palm Beach, Florida, and will work in Fowler White Burnett’s West Palm Beach office.

Janis, who previously served in the United States Air Force, HQ Air Intelligence Agency, is a Board Certified Attorney in Civil Trial Advocacy by the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification. His practice continues in the areas of commercial litigation, insurance defense, products liability and toxic torts. Janis received his law degree from University of Florida Levin College of Law, with honors, and bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University.

Logan, a former Assistant State Attorney with the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office, continues his practice in the area of personal injury defense, including trucking liability, products liability, premises and also construction defect litigation. Logan will also represent manufacturers and distributors in cases involving product liability. He holds a law degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center, and a bachelor of science degree from the University of Florida.

Switzer will continue to concentrate on the defense of product liability cases, focusing on pharmaceutical/drug liability. His practice will also focus on commercial litigation, insurance defense and general tort defense. He received his law degree from University of Florida Levin College of Law, J.D., cum laude, and a bachelor of science degree from University of Florida.
