Danielle Butler Co-Founds and Will Serve on Board of Directors for Young Professionals in Yachting Association

Fowler White Burnett maritime attorney Danielle J. Grucci Butler has co-founded and will serve on the board of directors for Young Professionals in Yachting (YPY), a non-profit organization formed for young professionals in businesses related to the yachting industry. She will serve as the association’s general counsel.

The group will meet monthly to share industry news, bring in guest speakers for educational purposes and foster professional development. The association will also host quarterly social networking events.

Revenues from YPY fundraising activities will benefit local charities such as the Freedom Waters Foundation, which provides boating opportunities and marine-related education for people with disabilities, youth at risk, and Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Membership is limited to business professionals within the yachting industry between the ages of 21 and 35. Interested applicants are encouraged to inquire with the YPY.

A shareholder with the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office, Grucci Butler has more than 15 years of experience, and handles litigation and transactional matters for commercial vessels, pleasure boats and yachts. She is a frequent author and lecturer and is a member of several trade organizations, including The Marine Council, Florida Yacht Broker’s Association, The Maritime Law Association and the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute.
