Fowler White Burnett Adds Two Associates to its Miami Office
Fowler White Burnett today announced that Karen Hendricks and Eduardo Serrano have been named associates in the firm’s Miami office.
Hendricks will join Fowler White Burnett’s securities litigation and arbitration group where she will concentrate her practice on broker-dealer customer disputes, brokerage employee disputes and disputes between brokerage firms. She will also be responsible for assisting clients with planning and executing internal investigations related to securities fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and accounting improprieties. Before joining Fowler White Burnett, Hendricks was a division legal officer with Smith Barney in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to this, she was an associate with Rogers & Hardin in Atlanta and a senior attorney with Harvey and Mumford in Albany, New York. Hendricks received her law degree and a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Albany.
Serrano will work with the firm’s international practice where he will focus on business investments, finance, corporate transactions and foreign taxation issues. He will also advise clients on intellectual property registration and licensing and assist with mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining Fowler White Burnett, Serrano was the assistant general counsel for BAC Florida Bank in Coral Gables, Florida. Before this, he was the vice president of legal affairs and general counsel for The Sun Land Group in Miami and was an associate with Ruden, McClosky, Smith, Schuster & Russell. Serrano received his law degree from Loyola University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Florida.
