Shareholder Sheryl A. Moore to Appear on "The Couple's Corner" TV Show

Firm shareholder Sheryl A. Moore is scheduled to appear on September 21, 2016, as a guest on the TV show "The Couple's Corner." Sheryl will be speaking about when is the right time to introduce the kids to your new significant other. The show's audience is comprised of couples and the show is promoted as a place where couples connect and learn from the guest speakers.

Sheryl is a shareholder in the firm's Family Law practice group and is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Marital and Family Law. She handles all aspects of family law including divorce, paternity, same-sex divorce, prenuptial agreements, postnuptial agreements, name changes, post divorce matters such as modification, enforcement and contempt, relative and step-parent adoptions, child support, custody and time-sharing, relocation, equitable distribution, alimony and support, domestic violence, parental responsibility and support unconnected to dissolution of marriage. 

Shareholder Eric Rosen to Present at Palm Beach County Bar Association

Eric A. Rosen, Shareholder and Chair of Fowler White Burnett's Bankruptcy, Creditors' Rights & Business Restructuring Practice Group in the firm's West Palm Beach office, will be presenting at the Bankruptcy CLE Committee of the Palm Beach County Bar Association's upcoming Program "Staying up to Speed - Current Substantive and Procedural Issues in Bankruptcy Cases."   Rosen, who currently serves as the Bankruptcy CLE Committee Chair, will be on hand to welcome attendees and present on the topic:  "Surrendering Real Property - Really?" 

The Program, which is expected to receive 5.0 CLER from The Florida Bar, is being held on Friday, November 18, 2016 from 11:30 am to 5:30 pm at the Palm Beach County Bar Association located at 1507 Belvedere Road, West Palm Beach, FL.

Fowler White Burnett Sponsors Dade County Bar Association’s Breakfast With Third District Court Of Appeal Judge Kevin Emas

Fowler White Burnett sponsored this morning the Dade County Bar Association (DCBA) Appellate Court Committee’s breakfast with Third District Court of Appeal Judge Kevin Emas.  This event was filled to capacity as our firm's Appellate Practice Group and a room full of DCBA members came out to hear Judge Emas discuss a variety of topics and personally answer questions from the audience.
Topics discussed included the importance of including the Standard of Review in appellate briefs, oral arguments and how they impact the Court's decision-making, and the use of hyperlinks of cases and the record for appellate briefs.
