  • Three attorneys received nationwide recognition by the 2009 edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. Charles G. De Leo was ranked in Band 1 of the transportation and shipping litigation category, and Jan M. Kuylenstierna was ranked in Band 2 of the same category. Lilly Ann Sanchez was ranked in Band 2 of the Florida white-collar crime and government investigation category. Ranking criteria include business acumen, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, legal ability, prompt delivery, technical expertise and value for money.
  • Nine attorneys are listed in the 2010 edition of Best Lawyers in America. Best Lawyers in America is the oldest and most respected peer-review publication in the legal profession. Lists are compiled through a peer-review survey in which thousands of top attorneys in the U.S. confidentially evaluate their professional peers.
  • Ten attorneys are listed as Top Lawyers in the 2010 edition of the South Florida Legal Guide, and five attorneys listed as Top Up & Comers. Attorneys included in the listing were selected through nominations from licensed attorneys who practice in Florida.
  • Four attorneys were ranked among Florida Trend’s Legal Elite of 2009. Published by Florida Trend, the Legal Elite listing is widely regarded as one of the preeminent referral guides to the legal profession. Of the approximately 61,500 Florida Bar members, only 949 statewide were chosen for this distinction which represents 1.9 percent of active attorneys.
  • Thirteen attorneys were recognized as Florida Super Lawyers in 2009. Super Lawyers names Florida's top attorneys as chosen by their peers and through independent research conducted by Law & Politics, which publishes Super Lawyers. The 2009 edition is based on the survey of more than 44,000 lawyers across the state.
  • Christopher E. Knight was elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates and its Miami chapter in July 2009. ABOTA is a national organization that encourages improvement in the ethical and technical standards in the legal profession. Membership is by invitation-only and is subject to vote by the national chapter. Candidates must possess a high personal character, an honorable reputation and extensive experience as a trial attorney.
  • Helenemarie Blake Moore and James D. DeChurch joined the prestigious International Association of Defense Counsel in 2009. IADC is an association of corporate and insurance defense attorneys dedicated to the highest standards of professionalism and service, and to upholding the rule of law and integrity of the court system. Membership is by invitation-only.
  • Marili Cancio was honored with an award for her dedication, contribution and commitment to the Hispanic Affairs Advisory Board and South Florida Hispanic Community by Miami-Dade County in 2009.
