Melody Cobbe’s litigation practice involves a range of matters with specific focus on business and real estate disputes.
With 10 years of experience, Melody represents small and mid-sized businesses in both state and federal courts, and in alternate dispute resolution forums. She handles complex cases involving breach of contract, partnership and joint venture agreements, breach of fiduciary duty, fraudulent practices, professional liability and defamation. In addition, Melody represents insurance brokers and agents in errors and omissions claims.
Melody is also experienced in handling construction litigation cases. In these matters, she has represented developers, major contractors and subcontractors, principals, engineering and architectural consultants and banks with respect to construction contract disputes. In the real estate arena, Melody litigates disputes arising from commercial and retail leases, project financing, buyer and seller disputes, purchase and sale contracts, property insurance and property tax assessments.
In each engagement, she works closely with clients to resolve disputes in a timely and favorable manner. Melody’s extensive background in insurance defense litigation provides her with additional insights when counseling clients and considering trial and settlement tactics.
