With more than 29 years of experience, Susan Aprill’s practice encompasses the full range of commercial litigation matters with particular emphasis today on business disputes. A seasoned litigator, Susan is called upon by clients to craft arguments and develop trial strategies that benefit both legal and business interests.

Susan prosecutes and defends cases in state and federal courts and in alternate dispute resolution forums. She has represented the United States and local government agencies, reporters, broadcasters and publishers, condominiums and homeowner association, financial institutions, real estate developers, health care providers and a variety of domestic and foreign businesses across multiple industries in complex, and occasionally high-profile, litigation.

 In addition, Susan has substantial experience with First Amendment claims and counsels clients on libel suit prevention. She also handles litigation involving debt collection practices, insurance premium audits, intellectual property and professional liability. She is a Special Master appointed by the Broward Circuit Court.

 Prior to entering private practice, Susan served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Civil Division of the United States Attorney’s Office of the Southern District of Florida. In this post, Susan concentrated on the defense of tort claims and the prosecution of forfeitures and regulatory enforcement actions.
