With more than 40 years of experience, Fred Lickstein focuses his practice on commercial transactions. He represents both private and public companies in a wide range of industries, particularly manufacturing, finance, insurance, construction and banking.
Fred has extensive experience with the structuring of complex merger and acquisition agreements, and with stock and asset sale transactions. He has participated in many notable transactions, such as the sale of the stock interest in an international air courier service corporation with subsidiaries in 17 countries. Fred’s practice includes document preparation, analysis of financing terms, and due diligence of governmental and private contracts, leases and loan portfolios. In each transaction, Fred applies his accounting background, negotiation skills and business acumen to execute business transactions that further his clients’ objectives.
In addition, Fred counsels clients on asset protection, estate planning and business succession. He prepares and executes estate plans for individuals and families. By employing advanced techniques, such as family limited partnerships, life insurance trusts and annuity sales, he is able to minimize estate, gift and generation-skipping taxes for clients.
