Rory Eric Jurman’s practice is focused on providing strategic and cost-effective counsel to Fortune 500 companies, insurers and self-insureds. His practice includes insurance coverage, bad faith, professional malpractice, liability and commercial litigation.
Rory provides coverage advice concerning virtually every type of general, excess and professional liability insurance policy, including employment practices liability, directors and officers liability and malpractice/errors or omissions policies for various professions. He handles the investigation and evaluation of multi-faceted and high-exposure claims, including class actions and complex coverage issues. He has litigated numerous trials through appeal, including multi-party cases, and major declaratory judgment, liability and rescission actions.
In addition to his legal work in the insurance industry, Rory also handles a broad range of litigation matters. His practice includes the defense of medical professionals, life science companies, professional negligence matters, commercial litigation and products liability. He has litigated, arbitrated and mediated cases throughout Florida.
Rory previously practiced in New York and served as counsel to a leading, multinational insurer. He currently leads a team of eight attorneys in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office. Rory’s industry expertise, legal knowledge, broad experience base and cost-sensitive approach to legal matters enable him to achieve the most favorable results for clients.
A frequent national lecturer on risk management, professional malpractice, insurance law and bad faith, Rory is an active member of numerous legal organizations.
