Daniel Frank focuses his practice on international matters, specifically international trade and finance. Daniel drafts a broad range of commercial contracts including stock and asset purchase agreements, consulting agreements, licensing agreements, and distribution agreements in connection with foreign and domestic matters. He also assists clients with worldwide registration and maintenance of trademarks and with responses to USPTO Office Actions. As a member of the firm’s Real Estate Group, Daniel participates in the negotiation and execution of real estate acquisitions, sales and commercial leases.
Prior to joining Fowler White Burnett, Daniel served as a law clerk to a corporate law firm in Madrid, Spain, where he gained experience with the structuring, negotiation and documentation of domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other strategic alliances.
Representative Matters
Represented Central American banking institutions to obtain money transmitter licenses in the United States.
Assisted Banco de Desarrollo Rural, S.A., the third largest Guatemalan bank, in establishing an international representative office in Florida.
Drafted Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy complaints with the National Arbitration Forum and successfully resolved cybersquatter domain name disputes for a major Central American liquor producer and a Florida architectural rendering and animation studio.
Represented foreign manufacturers and exporters in establishing and expanding companies in the United States.
Drafted protest on behalf of a clothing importer to restore Andean Trade Promotion and Drug Eradication Act (ATPDEA) benefits on a shipment of Peruvian denim goods seized by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol in Miami.
Represented foreign investor in negotiation and purchase of condominium, valued at $8.9 million, in Bal Harbor, Florida.
