Brian Elias is a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Securities Law practice groups. He has extensive experience in the representation of broker-dealers, senior officers, executives, securities brokers, and branch office managers in a wide range of securities and employment related matters pending in Federal and State courts, Appellate courts, arbitration forums, mediation and regulatory proceedings.
Brian represents leading national and regional brokerage firms, clearing firms and their officers and employees in customer disputes, employment disputes, and recruiting litigation. He has handled a countless number of arbitrations involving issues and claims such as alleged fraudulent research, over concentration of securities, inappropriate use of margin, suitability, fraud, and misrepresentation, among many others.
Brian was one of the lead national attorneys for a major brokerage firm defending against claims of fraudulent limited partnership sales and for a major clearing firm defending against claims of fraud and negligence in the performance of clearing services.
