With nearly 10 years of experience in the area of trusts and estates, Liz Consuegra leads an active practice group and is well-regarded for her sensitive and thorough approach. She handles probate litigation, guardian administration and litigation and estate planning.
A significant portion of Liz’s practice focuses on probate litigation. She represents trustees, personal representatives, executors and beneficiaries when conflicts arise during trust administration. Liz has successfully resolved will and trusts contests related to vague language, contradictory instructions, lack of capacity and undue influence, among other factors.
Liz also guides clients through the difficult and emotional process of commencing guardianships of both minors and incapacitated adults. When necessary, she litigates disputes regarding guardianship appointments.
With an advanced degree in estate planning, Liz assists clients with sophisticated estate planning needs that often include business succession and charitable giving. Mindful of federal and state tax laws, Liz executes estate plans that achieve each client’s unique goals and provide optimum financial benefits.
